Description
A UI designer works closely with engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the product cycle, as a UI designer you are a critical thinker with a good design sense, a strong technical background, and an eye for making things better.
Qualities we’re looking for:
1. Must have qualities:
. A strong sense of design quality perfection
. Demonstrated understanding of visual and user interface design disciplines and principles
. Demonstrated experience in designing usable graphical interfaces.
.Strong, clean visual design sense
. Excellent Collaboration, communication and teamwork skills
. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator in particular) and other design tools
. Critical eye for attention and pixel perfection!
. Capable of rendering high fidelity layouts and icons
. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
. Ability to deliver high quality work on tight schedules.
. Willing to learn new skills on the job
. Sketching skills
2. Appreciated but optional
.Understanding of the different color systems and graphic formats
.[Mac users] Mastery of OS X, iWork
. [Windows users] Mastery of the windows platform and Microsoft office
. Being a degree holder or a student in a graphic design, visual communications or other design field.
. Capable of developing interactive prototypes of new ideas
. 3D rendering skills
. Motion graphics skills to prototype interactions and animations
3. Stuff we appreciate and are willing to teach you through workshops
. HTML and CSS skills
. Understanding of the different color systems and graphic formats
. Experience in designing for limited screen real estate and mobile devices.
. Experience designing user interface layouts and icons
. Illustration skills, digital or traditional
. Usage of online collaboration tools like Dropbox, Evernote, Google docs, etc.
